Housing disrepair problems with a One Vision Housing property
If you rent a property from One Vision Housing, they have a legal duty to ensure that any necessary repairs and maintenance are carried out, and your home is kept to an adequate standard of living. This includes, but isn’t limited to:
- Proper working sanitation – including drains, sinks, toilets, baths and basins
- A safe and structurally sound building
- Full access to heating and hot water
- A damp-free and pest-free home
- Full access to gas and electricity
For example, you may have limited, or no, access to hot water, or perhaps One Vision Housing have failed to carry out important repairs to the structure of your home. Not only is this inconvenient, but you may find that yours or your family’s health is affected because of it. Rising damp or mould, for example, can have a huge effect on young children, and more vulnerable adults.
At CEL Solicitors, we believe that everyone deserves to live in a safe, well-maintained property, so we take One Vision Housing’s repairs and maintenance policy very seriously.
