The Hospital Group, which is also known as the Transform Hospital Group, offers a range of surgical and cosmetic procedures across 11 clinics. These include weight loss surgery, breast enlargements, nipple corrections, vaginal tightening, labiaplasty and nose jobs.
Now, patients of the popular practice, which has been endorsed by a range of celebrities including Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona, Shameless actress Tina Malone and reality TV star Joey Essex, are afraid images of their procedures will be exposed online.
This follows a ransomware attack in December when hackers REvil, also known as Sodinokibi, gained access to The Hospital Group’s IT systems. During the cyberattack hackers were able to gather sensitive client data, including 900 gigabytes of patient photographs, which they’re now threatening to publish if a ransom is not paid.
