Location: Liverpool City Centre

Job Type: Permanent Full time

Basic salary: £30,000 – £35,000

Reporting to the Head of People within our People department. We are looking for an experienced People Advisor or someone looking for their next career move and further develop their career within HR.

We are looking for someone who can build great relationships, can independently give consistent and robust advice to managers on all matters relating to recruitment, sickness, capability, conduct grievance and risk in line with legislation and internal policies escalating cases to the Head of People as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality HR advice and guidance directly to managers
Advise and coach managers on the application and interpretation of HR policies and procedures in accordance with current and proposed employment legislation and local arrangements, to ensure consistency, accuracy and best practice
Support the wider HR team in implementing and embedding new strategies and initiatives
Support the management of complex employee cases relating to disciplinary, grievance and sickness absence this includes providing advice to managers on policy/procedures and legislation, liaising with occupational health and supporting formal investigations and hearings
Provide written and verbal staffing reports as required such as sickness trends and retention
Advise managers on recruitment and selection
Supervise and work alongside People Coordinators
Assist the Head of People with any ongoing projects

Requirements:

You should be CIPD level 5 qualified or studying towards
Have a minimum of 4 years working within an HR function ideally within the Private or Legal sector
Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and best practice
Experience in dealing with matters confidentially and sensitively with a good knowledge of General Data Protection Regulation
Ability to organise and prioritise caseload within a fast-paced environment
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in using HR systems and HR management information to produce reports as required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
