We welcomed Gospel Choir, The Twelfth Collective into the firm as our first musical guest to perform a live set to our team.
At CEL Solicitors, we take great pleasure in welcoming keynote speakers as part of our ‘CEL Talk’ series. From activists and athletes to authors and comedians, we like to diversify our guests so that we can gain a variety of fresh perspectives. A gospel choir, however, is a first.
The Twelfth Collective
The Twelfth Collective are a gospel choir with the mission of spreading the love of God through various creative outlets as an act of worship.
With our staff gathered in the amphitheatre, the group recounted the story of how they came to be and their shared passion for worship. They then engaged our team with an icebreaker task which provided a great opportunity for staff to become acquainted as our workforce has quickly increased.
The Twelfth Collective performed an intimate set of worship songs and even sang a special rendition of the firm’s jingle ‘CEL CEL, ring the bell’ (this made for a brilliant TikTok which you can watch here).
Before departing, the band got our staff out of their seats and turned the firm into a mass choir, assigning singing roles based on vocal range.
The Twelfth Collective provided us with a unique and unforgettable Friday afternoon. Our staff were left feeling uplifted and inspired. Read some of their takeaways:
“This was the BEST Friday event we have ever had in my 2 and a half years at CEL. The energy, vibes and positivity were amazing, and it was the best way to round off the week. The collaborative approach of everyone getting involved in the music and the songs was amazing.”
“I loved all the singing, the interaction with all of us, putting all the groups together and getting everyone to sing. It was very fun, uplifting, and enjoyable. Left the office feeling good.”
“It was so special hearing the music and seeing people speak so freely about their faith in such a comfortable environment.”
“Amazing energy. I felt privileged to be able to watch such a great performance.”
“I loved how open-minded everybody was in that moment. It was such an enjoyable, intimate, and unifying space, despite us all having different faiths and backgrounds. I loved it so much!”
“The whole event was such a lovely experience. The members of Twelfth Collective were such nice people and all so talented. A really positive end to the week.”
Thank you, Twelfth Collective for being our first musical guest and sharing your joy with us.
