Jessica Hampson, CEL Solicitors’ Chief Executive Officer, was recently voted Legal Personality of the Year. Whether she is fighting for social housing tenants’ rights, in partnership with Shelter or tackling scams, in partnership with the BBC, she is force of nature.
Recognised as an Investor in People, Jessica prioritises team development, maintaining high standards and customer satisfaction above all else. Passionate about female empowerment, diversity, and community support, she is also dedicated to creating positive social change.
Award Winning
Jessica Hampson is an award-winning solicitor and a powerful advocate for vulnerable people.
After working for several top 50 corporate law firms, Jess decided to set up her own solicitors’ practice. Disrupting the legal industry, by putting people before profits, her unique approach has resulted in year-on-year growth in terms of both headcount and revenue.
Employing over 150 people, specialising in civil litigation and financial complaints, she now leads the UK’s Number One Consumer Law Firm, according to Review Solicitors.
Champion of Change
A champion of change, and advocate for social mobility, when Jessica Hampson first set up CEL Solicitors she made it her mission to help tenants living in dangerous properties.
She has since taken on over 360 different housing providers, helping thousands of people to get the repairs and compensation they deserve. This impressive track record resulted in CEL Solicitors being selected official partner of Shelter – the UK’s number one housing and homelessness charity.
An expert in this area, Jess has appeared on the BBC Politics Show discussing the Fitness for Habitation Act and is regularly quoted in the national press championing tenants’ rights.
Market Leader
Determined to help vulnerable people, Jessica, and her husband Paul Hampson, recognised the plight of people affected by scams.
This is the current number one crime, affecting more people than any other offence. Setting up the UK’s first fraud and scam recovery service, CEL Solicitors has helped thousands of people claim back over £70 million.
‘Sticking it to the Scammers,’ Jessica helped to launch the BBC’s inaugural Scam Awareness Week, live from CEL Solicitors’ offices.
Investor in People
Jessica is passionate about people. She mentors local students and maintains strong links with her former high school, including employing former alumni.
Jess believes happy people make happy clients and has built a high performing team that was proud to secure the Investors in People Standard and the Lexcel accreditation, the Law Society’s quality mark for client care, compliance, and practice management.
This commitment to standards is further demonstrated in the firm’s customer satisfaction rating, which is ‘excellent,’ by far exceeding the industry average, across all online platforms.
What Makes Jessica Tick?
Jessica is committed to female empowerment and creating diverse workforces that are truly reflective of the communities they serve.
Jessica is an ambassador for the Liverpool universities, featured on an International Women’s Day Panel at Edge Hill University and sponsors an award, at the same university, for the student who achieves the top mark in the civil litigation module.
She was proud to invite the Anthony Walker Foundation into the office to share valuable insights with our team and supports a wide range of social enterprises, including a national toy appeal that ensures thousands of children do not go without at Christmas.
