Karl is a Solicitor and joined CEL in 2023 as Manager of the Personal Injury Litigation Team. Starting as a Personal Injury Litigation specialist, he now has over 23 years of experience working in various areas of Civil Litigation. He has worked at both small high street practices and national commercial firms.
Karl has predominantly worked for Claimants across numerous areas, including road traffic accidents, employer and public liability personal injury claims, debt recovery claims, inheritance disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, contract disputes, and complex insurance recovery claims; ranging from small claims for individual consumers to high value and complex commercial cases.
While Karl enjoys the challenge of litigation casework, he finds mentoring Trainee Solicitors and Paralegals to help them advance their careers in law particularly rewarding. Along with his team, Karl aims to develop and enhance the firm’s presence and reputation in the personal injury claim market, particularly regarding more serious or complex claims. He is keenly aware of the needs of clients who have suffered injuries and financial losses as a result of accidents caused by others and who require professional but sympathetic assistance to recover justly deserved damages.
Outside of work: Karl is a dog-dad to a Jack Russell terrier and a ‘massive’ Beatles and Rolling Stones fan. He has a second degree in literature and enjoys reading and attending the theatre. He is also a keen traveller and loves to visit ancient ruins and new cultures.
