Covid-19 / Coronavirus and CEL Solicitors – 19 March 2020
We’ve been implementing and testing our Coronavirus policies ahead of the government’s recent announcements, and our number one aim is to ensure the safety and security of our staff, and, more widely, to do what we can to protect the community at large (including our clients). We have continued to work during this time whilst following government guidelines. We are very fortunate in that, when needed, we are able as a business to operate remotely with minimal need for our staff to travel, so the core message to clients is that we remain fully operational and able to carry on working. There are one or two changes to our working practices, such as avoiding travel and face-to-face meetings, but these are likely to mirror practices adopted by our clients as well.
As a technology-focussed firm, we have always been at the forefront of adoption of new communications solutions and we fully understand how to make the best use of these technologies. We host all our phone, I.T. infrastructure and all systems in the cloud so all our staff can work remotely from home.
For our clients: this means business as usual (other than face-to-face meetings). We remain fully connected by email and phone and are happy to participate in video conferencing using the technology of your choice.
In the event of a full government lockdown to tackle the corona virus then we will work from home. At this time, we would ask that you try and restrict all your correspondence to email only. Litigation may be delayed due to closure of the courts, Defendants, other law firms, government offices and housing associations. We will strive to continue to provide excellent legal services during this difficult time.
As soon as any lockdown is lifted, we will continue to operate as usual from our office and have home visits to our clients.
We will continue to uphold our core values during this time of; people before profits, celebrating excellence in law and gratitude is our attitude. This means we will continue to look after our staff and clients at this difficult time.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
In the meantime, please keep healthy, safe and well.
