What Does No-Win, No-Fee Actually Mean?

You don’t pay anything upfront – We’ll start your claim without asking for any payment.
You only pay if you win – If your claim is successful, our fees are paid from your compensation. This amount is agreed with you before we start any work. If you’re happy with our terms, we will begin.
We’re in it together – We only get paid when your case is successful, so we have every reason to fight hard on your behalf.

No-Win, No-Fee – What’s the Catch?

There isn’t one – but to be fully transparent, here’s what you need to know.

Disbursements

During your claim, we may need to pay out-of-pocket costs on your behalf – things like medical reports, expert assessments, or court fees. These are called disbursements.

If your case is successful, these costs are usually recovered from the other side.
If your case doesn’t succeed, we typically have ATE insurance in place to cover these costs – so you don’t need to worry.

After the Event (ATE) Insurance

To protect you from having to pay any legal costs if your claim is unsuccessful, we’ll take out ATE insurance on your behalf. This covers disbursements and any legal fees owed to the other side.

You won’t need to pay for this insurance upfront.
The cost of the policy is usually only paid if your case wins – and it comes out of your compensation.

When Fees Might Still Apply

In almost all cases, if your claim doesn’t succeed, you won’t owe us a penny. But in rare situations, charges may apply – for example:

If you knowingly give false or misleading information.
If you deliberately ignore legal advice.
If you fail to cooperate after agreeing to proceed with a claim (for example, ignoring contact or refusing to attend agreed appointments).

These situations are very unusual, but it’s important we let you know upfront.
