Members of the CEL team took part in a 10K Tough Mudder for the second year running.
What is Tough Mudder?
Tough Mudder is an endurance event with a series of unique obstacle courses. This year, our team took part in raising money for Clatterbridge Cancer Centre and Macmillan Cancer Support.
With the guidance of former military soldier and current CEL performance coach, Tony Charnley, the CEL team worked together to complete the 10K course, which saw them tackle 20 obstacles over multiple hours. It’s safe to say that by the end of the day, the team was exhausted.
Crawling through tear gas, running through electrical wires, and climbing a forty-foot tower were just some of the challenges our team faced, and successfully completed!
How did our team find the Tough Mudder experience?
Despite feeling battered and bruised, our staff felt extremely accomplished after completing Tough Mudder.
“I found the experience eye-opening and thought it was a great day!”
Ben – Fraud Paralegal
“Tough Mudder was definitely a challenge for me, as I have never done anything like that before!
“Everyone was so supportive and worked as a team making sure that no one was left behind. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and pushed me to do things I would have never imagined doing!
“Having the support and encouragement from everyone when I thought I couldn’t do it helped so much. It was definitely an experience to remember (as shown by the bruises).”
Olivia – Fraud Paralegal
“I was feeling very hesitant to take part in Tough Mudder as I’ve never done anything like it before. By the end of the day though, I felt so accomplished and had already decided that I want to do it again next year.
“The team comradery was amazing and it felt so good to get outside of my comfort zone.”
